Frysk Hynder 2016/2023 7 Year Old Single Malt Port Cask (70cl, 48%)

A Dutch single malt from the Us Heit Distillery in Bolsward, sold under the Frysk Hynder name. It was distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2023 after seven years in a port cask. It comes at 48% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring. Each bottle carries its own cask number. The distillery was founded in 2002 by Aart van der Linde. The nose has warming, heavy cognac notes with candy canes, raspberries and oak. The palate is pleasantly sweet and floral, with warm fruity notes. The finish brings vanilla ice cream, warm fruit and cognac together with caramel, dried fruit, nuts and raisins.
