Fujikai is a 10 year old Japanese single malt from Monde Shuzo, released in partnership with Whiskies du Monde. It was matured in bourbon casks and is bottled at 43% in a 50cl bottle.
The name points to the producer's home. Monde Shuzo, a winery that also makes the Isawa whiskies, sits at the base of Mount Fuji in what was once Kai Province. The release is limited to 8,808 bottles.
The official notes describe a sweet malt and light fruity nose, followed by tangerine and lemon on the palate.
