Kurayoshi 12 Year Old is a Japanese single malt from Matsui Whisky's Kurayoshi Distillery in Tottori Prefecture, on the shore of the Sea of Japan. It was aged for over 12 years in ex-bourbon white oak barrels and is not chill-filtered.
The whisky is rich and fragrant, with a nutty character and bold malt flavours. Vanilla, raisin and faint smoke sit in a well-balanced palate, and the light finish recalls the spring water of Tottori used in distillation.
