The Matsui Sakura Cask is a Japanese whisky matured in sakura, or cherry wood, casks. It is made at the Kurayoshi distillery in Tottori, where the water comes from Mount Daisen, and it is double distilled in pot stills. The label draws on Ukiyo-e art, and the cherry wood ties the whisky to sakura, which stands for fleeting beauty in Japan.
