Gambit No. 6 is a Kentucky straight bourbon aged for six years and made under Master Distiller Chip Tate, in a 75cl bottle.
It began as an idea for a bourbon finished in two wine barrels, then grew to six finishes: Sonoma Chardonnay, Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon, Apple Brandy, Oloroso Sherry, Muscatel and Tokaji.
The nose combines orchard fruit, wine sweetness, caramel and oak. On the palate are dark fruit, sherry and dessert-wine notes, baking spice, caramel and bourbon warmth. The finish is long, with lingering fruit, oak and spice.
