George Dickel Barrel Select (75cl, 43%)

George Dickel Barrel Select is a small-batch Tennessee whisky from Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. in Tullahoma, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle. It is vatted from ten hand-selected barrels and carries no age statement. The spirit is double-distilled, first in a column still and then in a copper pot still, from a mashbill of 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley. It is chilled and passed through sugar maple charcoal before it goes into barrel. The nose brings vanilla, candied nuts, oak and caramel. The palate offers caramel, toasted marshmallow and gingerbread, and the finish is long, with cocoa, espresso and black pepper.
