Girvan – 1991 30 Years (Chapter 7) (70cl, 49.6%)

This is a 30 year old single grain Scotch whisky from Girvan in the Lowlands, part of the Monologue series from Chapter 7. Seven casks were vatted together and married in two ex-bourbon barrels. It was distilled in April 1991 and bottled in April 2021 at a cask strength of 49.6% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The edition is limited to 547 bottles, natural in colour and not chill-filtered. The nose brings maple syrup, honeycomb and soft cedar spice. The palate shows orange peel, icing sugar, more honey and toasted cereals. The finish is long and full, with dried fruit, vanilla and oak.
