This is a single grain Scotch whisky from the Girvan distillery in the Lowlands, distilled on 25 September 1995. It spent more than 29 years in oak, finishing in an Oloroso sherry cask, and OLO bottled it in 2025 at cask strength, 47.8% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is natural in colour and not chill-filtered. The outturn was 185 bottles.
The nose offers dried figs and raisins, rich toffee, dark chocolate and a touch of baking spice. On the palate come caramel and vanilla sweetness, dark cherries and orange peel. The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate, espresso, a hint of smoke and a nutty note.
