This is a 19-year-old single cask Girvan, a Lowland single grain whisky distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2022 by Douglas Laing for its Old Particular range. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 51.5% ABV. The whisky was matured in a single refill hogshead that yielded 230 bottles. Girvan is one of Scotland's last working grain whisky distilleries, and most of its production goes into owner William Grant's blends. Tasting notes mention treacle toffee, sponge pudding and pineapple chunks on the nose. The palate is creamy with caramel and honeyed cereal, balanced by tangy fruit, and the finish lingers with vanilla oak, peaches and dried fruits.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
