Girvan – 2007/2026 18 Year Old Single Grain Oloroso Cask Finish #2147668 The Octave (Duncan Taylor) (70cl, 55.3%)

This is a Girvan single grain from the Lowlands, distilled on 4 September 2007 and finished in an Oloroso octave. Duncan Taylor bottled it on 20 January 2026 at 18 years old and 55.3%, in a 70cl bottle, as part of its Octave series. The edition is limited to 84 bottles, and the whisky is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Octaves are small casks with more wood surface in relation to the liquid, so the wood can make itself felt more strongly during the finish. The nose is rich in caramel and toffee, with spice, gentle sweetness and fine wood. The palate is full and sweet, with black pepper and a slight creaminess. The finish is long, spicy and softly sweet.
