This is a 25 year old blended Scotch whisky made to mark the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. It was bottled in 1990 by The Speyside Distillery Company at 40% ABV, in an edition of 1,077 bottles. Each comes in a cut crystal decanter with a silk-lined presentation box.
The nose is light and floral with a soft honeyed character, fresh like a dewy summer morning, with garden herbs and a touch of mint. The palate is syrupy, with thyme, chamomile, apples, light malt and a whisper of chocolate. The finish is medium in length, with lingering herbs, orchard fruit and a soft chocolate echo.
