This is Glasgow 1770 The Original Cask Strength, a Lowland single malt from The Glasgow Distillery Co. It is Batch 01 of the Fresh & Fruity series, bottled in 2023 without dilution at 61.3% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. There are 750 bottles.
The whisky matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks and was finished in virgin oak, giving sweet vanilla, citrus and spiced oak.
The nose is orange zest, vanilla pudding, warm spices and light oak. The palate is full and oily, with citrus, honey, white pepper and creamy bourbon notes. The finish is long, warming and spicy, with vanilla and toast.
