Release No. 1 from The Glasgow Distillery Co. is a triple distilled Lowland single malt, bottled at 46% in a 50cl bottle. It was matured in virgin oak.
Triple distillation gives a more approachable, elegant and fruity profile, while the virgin oak adds sweetness, wood spice and vanilla.
The nose has citrus, vanilla, light caramel sugars and wood spice. The palate is soft and rounded and malty, with white pepper, citrus, oak and sweet vanilla. The finish is medium to long and clean, with spicy oak and gentle sweetness.
