Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

This is a Scotch single malt from Glasgow 1770, triple distilled and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from concerto malted barley and water from Loch Katrine, fermented for over 72 hours and distilled slowly in copper pot stills. The third distillation removes heavier oily compounds, leaving a light, fruity spirit. It is matured in ex-bourbon and virgin American oak casks, which are married together before bottling. The whisky is non-chill filtered and natural in colour. In the glass it is described as well balanced, with shortbread, honey and double cream, and a warming woody spice.
