Glasgow 2017 is a six year old single malt, number 9 in Claxton's Exploration Series. It was distilled on 31 October 2017, matured in a single Amontillado sherry butt (release EXP1063) and bottled on 24 January 2024. Butterscotch leads the nose, with sweet oak, soft sherry and a fine spiciness. The palate returns to oak sweetness before rich sherry notes and a dry turn. The finish brings fruitcake and a long, lingering sherry echo.
