Gleann Dubh 16 Year Old The Dark Glen Peated Canadian Single Malt Whisky (75cl, 43%)

This is a 16 year old peated single malt from Glenora Distillery in the Highlands of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It is described on the label as North America's first peated single malt whisky. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. Glenora fought a long legal dispute over the use of the word Glen, which it won in the Supreme Court of Canada. The whisky is named The Dark Glen. The nose is peat and smoke with baked apple. The palate shows smoked pears and rosemary, moving to caramel cream sweets and hazelnut.
