This is Glen Dee 5 Year Old, a blended malt Scotch whisky bottled in the 1980s at 40% ABV.
It has a bright amber-gold colour with pale straw edges. The nose is fresh and lightly sweet, with honeyed barley, green apple, pear drops, vanilla fudge and a little heather and lemon peel.
The palate is soft, with sweet barley, toffee, light citrus and a hint of white pepper. Water brings out honey and almond cream. The finish is short to medium, crisp and lightly spiced, with dry malt, oak and lemon zest.
