This is an 11-year-old Glen Elgin from Speyside, bottled by Duncan Taylor at 54.6% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2021, with an outturn of 88 bottles. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
After maturing in oak, the whisky spent a further three months in an octave cask. Before that finish it was fresh and malty, with rhubarb crumble, herbs and an oily texture. Afterwards the notes turned to limoncello, poached apple, florals, dark brown sugar and cracked pepper.
