A single malt from Glen Elgin, distilled on 20th January 2014 and bottled on 16th April 2025 at 11 years old. It was first matured in a hogshead, then finished for over six years in a first-fill ex-Amontillado sherry cask from the Josafer cooperage.
The cask yielded 236 bottles, filled at a natural cask strength of 57.3% in a 70cl bottle. Long fermentation and worm tub condensation give Glen Elgin its fruity character, and the long finish adds chocolate and spice.
The taste is described as stewed strawberries, nutmeg and chocolate coffee beans.
