A 12 year old Glen Moray single malt from Speyside, bottled in the 1980s at 40% ABV.
The nose is delicate and floral, with hawthorn, chamomile and heather, then apricot, honeyed malt, dough, bran cereal and lemon zest, with a slightly oily note of old oak and wax. The palate is clean and fresh with a silky texture: rice pudding, melon, citrus peel, vanilla and toasted grain, with a faint grape note like champagne.
The finish is of medium length and gently drying, with lingering sweetness, herbal and nutty undertones, and a trace of oak and minerals.
