Glen Moray 15 Year Old 2008 - The Octave by Duncan Taylor - Cask #7041174

This is a 15 year old Glen Moray single malt, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2024 by Duncan Taylor from a single cask, number 7041174. It comes from Speyside. The whisky was finished in an octave, one of the smaller sherry casks, which brings the spirit into closer contact with the wood. The bottling yielded 90 bottles. The nose brings ripe mandarin and dark raisins, with clove spice and a light touch of oak. On the palate there is toffee and juicy plum, cinnamon and cardamom, then roasted almonds and firm oak. The finish is long, carried by a note of cherry.
