Glen Moray 16 2007/2024 - The Octave by Duncan Taylor - Cask #7040573

This is a 16 year old Glen Moray from Speyside, bottled by Duncan Taylor in its Octave series. It was distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2024 from a single cask, number 7040573. The whisky was finished in a handmade octave cask. The small size of the cask increases the contact between wood and spirit. The nose offers freshly baked apple pie with dry grass and a light citrus note. On the palate come syrupy sweetness and spicy cinnamon, with roasted almonds adding depth. The finish is long and balanced, with elegant fruit and lingering sweetness.
