This is Glen Moray 16 Year Old, a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 43% ABV. It has a rich gold colour with amber highlights.
The nose is soft and inviting, with honeyed malt, vanilla fudge and toffee, then pear, apple compote and dried apricot. Oak spice, walnut, light cocoa, heather and honeysuckle sit beneath. The palate is silky and rounded, with caramel, vanilla cream and sweet barley, developing into baked apple, sultana and orange peel, with nutmeg, cinnamon, milk chocolate and almond. The finish is medium in length and warming, with honey, soft spice, oak and a final echo of dried fruit.
