Glen Moray – 2007 14 Year Old North Star Spirits Batch 016 (70cl, 51%)

This is a Speyside single malt from Glen Moray, distilled in 2007 and bottled in late 2021 at 14 years old. It was released by North Star Spirits as part of their Batch 016. The whisky comes from a single Oloroso sherry hogshead that gave 280 bottles at 51% ABV, in 70cl bottles. The nose is of fresh pink peonies, sweet strawberry jam and red grapes. On the palate there is hot rice pudding with melting vanilla ice cream, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish recalls white chocolate and raspberry cookies with a glass of sweet dessert wine.
