This is a 16 year old Speyside single malt from Glen Moray, bottled by Duncan Taylor in its Octave series. It was distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2024 at 52.8% from cask 7040573, in a 70cl bottle. Only 77 bottles were filled, without added colour or chill-filtration.
At the end of its maturation it spent three months in a small sherry octave cask.
The nose is floral, with freshly baked apple pie, dried grass and a touch of lemon. The palate recalls stewed fruit with cinnamon and sugar, with sweet pastry dough, syrup and toasted almonds. The finish is long, sweet and fruity.
