Glen Moray – Heritage 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

This is the 12-year-old Glen Moray from the Heritage range, which was introduced in 2016. It is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It matures entirely in American oak. For its bourbon cask maturation the distillery takes its casks from a single Kentucky distillery. The wood contributes vanilla sweetness and oak character, while berries and dark fruit give the whisky its fruity side. The nose has vanilla toffee, berries, delicate flowers and a malty note. On the palate come toasted oak, pronounced dark fruit and creamy, lightly toasted vanilla, with summery fruit and gentle spice. The finish is soft and balanced, with sweet vanilla and spicy oak.
