Glen Moray – Our Classic (70cl, 40%)

This is a Speyside single malt from Glen Moray, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is chill-filtered and has added colouring. The whisky matures entirely in American oak. The master distiller marries whisky from first-fill and refill bourbon casks, all sourced from a single Kentucky distillery. The first-fill casks bring out vanilla and caramel, while the refill casks leave more room for the bright, fruity spirit. The nose combines citrus, butterscotch and warm, freshly baked shortbread. On the palate come sweet malt toffee and blackcurrant, with a fresh lemongrass edge. The finish is warming, with caramelised citrus fruit and fine spice.
