Glen Scotia – Double Cask Rum Finish

This is a Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, part of the distillery's Double Cask range and a limited release. The whisky was first matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, then finished for eight months in Guyanese Demerara rum casks. The rum casks add a tropical sweetness to the coastal Campbeltown character of the distillery. It is described as a balance of vanilla, fruit and maritime spice.
