This is the Glen Scotia Seasonal Release 2021, a 12 year old single malt from Campbeltown, bottled at 54.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent 11 years in first fill ex-Bourbon and American oak hogsheads, followed by a 12-month finish in first fill ex-Oloroso hogsheads and heavily charred American oak barrels. It is a limited bottling.
It is described as fresh and lightly salty despite its strength, warming, with roasted notes, nuttiness and ripe fruit.
