This is Batch 2 of the GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength, a single malt that has been part of the distillery's core range since 2018. It is bottled at 54.8% in a 70cl bottle.
The ten years of maturation took place in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, together with virgin oak and Rioja casks chosen by Billy Walker. It is non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose has roasted fruit and crushed black peppercorns, with a hint of smoke. The palate is lighter, with apple and mango, then dried fruit and ginger. The finish brings nutmeg, caramelised dates and honey on rye toast.
