This is a GlenAllachie 28 Year Old from the 1989 vintage, a single cask Speyside malt released as Batch #1. It was drawn from hogshead 101040 and bottled at natural cask strength, giving 121 individually hand-written bottles.
The whisky is non-chill-filtered and natural colour. Its honeyed, malty core has been matured for nearly three decades in a quietly seasoned hogshead.
The tasting notes describe orchard fruit, soft vanilla cream and a refined oak spice.
