GlenAllachie – 30 Years Old 1990 Virgin Oak Barrel Cask 3593 (70cl, 54.8%)

This is a 30 year old single malt from GlenAllachie, distilled on 23 February 1990 and bottled in July 2020 from a single virgin oak barrel, cask 3593. It was filled at cask strength, 54.8%, without colouring or chill-filtration, and 274 bottles were produced. It forms part of the third batch of single cask bottlings made for Europe. On the nose there is toffee, butterscotch, grapefruit, orange peel and nutmeg. The palate comes in waves of honey, butterscotch, pineapple and mocha, with grapefruit, orange peel and cinnamon alongside.
