Glendalough Madeira Cask Finish is an Irish single grain whiskey that spends three years in ex-bourbon casks. It then moves into Oloroso sherry casks and is finished in Canteiro-aged Madeira wine casks.
The nose shows sultanas, exotic fruit, mango and pineapple, with a little orange peel and jam. The palate is lively, with light raisins and dark cherries alongside plum, vanilla and liquorice, and a slight pepperiness. The finish brings dark stone fruit, spice and a light earthiness.
