Glendalough Single Cask Grand Cru Burgundy Finish is a limited edition Irish single malt whiskey bottled at 42%. It is first aged in ex-bourbon barrels, then transferred to Grand Cru Burgundy wine casks for its finish.
Each bottle is drawn from a single cask, is non chill filtered and is individually numbered.
Dark cherries, redcurrant compote and floral oak come through on the nose, with rose petal, forest floor and old wine cellars. The palate is silky and full, with red berries, toasted spice, creamy vanilla and a gentle wine tannin grip set against Irish malt sweetness. The finish is long, with Burgundy fruit, soft spice and dry oak.
