Glendalough – Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (43%)

This is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Glendalough, bottled at 43% ABV. It is matured first in ex-bourbon casks and then in Irish oak felled in the mountains around the distillery. The tree's number is printed on the bottle. The bourbon cask softens and sweetens the spirit, while the Irish oak adds stronger flavours that balance the spice of the pot still style. The nose is sweet with the vanilla of bourbon casks. Vanilla continues on the palate alongside orchard fruit, and the finish is soft, refined and pleasant.
