Glenfarclas – 11 Year Old 2014 Sherry Hogshead Itineraires (70cl, 59.2%)

This is an 11 year old single cask Glenfarclas, distilled in 2014 and matured in a sherry hogshead on site at Ballindalloch. It is bottled at a cask strength of 59.2% in a 70cl bottle and was chosen for the Itinéraires Collection, a series built around distinctive casks. Glenfarclas has been an independent, family-owned distillery since 1865 and is known for its commitment to sherry cask maturation. The active hogshead is described as giving dried fruits, malt sweetness, chocolate, warm spice and rich oak, with youthful energy alongside depth.
