A 12 year old Speyside single malt from Glenfarclas, in a 70cl bottle. The name means Glen of the Green Grassland, and the distillery remains family owned, now in the hands of the fifth and sixth generations of the Grant family.
The nose is fresh and light, with sherried fruit, a spicy sweetness and a hint of sappy oak. The palate is full bodied, with sherried fruit, oak, a touch of peat and sweetness, leading to a long, spicy finish.
