Glenfarclas – 12 Year (75cl, 43%)

Glenfarclas 12 Year is a Speyside single malt from the Grant family, who have owned the distillery at Ballindalloch since 1865. All the whisky it makes is matured in sherry casks. This 12 year old is bottled at 43% ABV and matured in sherry-seasoned oak, with the dried fruit, vanilla and spice of oloroso-influenced maturation. The nose is rich and sherried, with dried fruit, chocolate, vanilla and warm spice. On the palate come sherry sweetness, dried fig, cinnamon and oak, and the finish is medium to long and smooth, with sherry and spice lingering.
