Glenfarclas 15 Year Old is a single malt from one of Scotland's few family-run distilleries, set on the moors of Banffshire about a mile from the River Spey, with water drawn from springs on the Ben Rinnes range.
Glenfarclas matures its whisky almost entirely in sherry butts. This one has a rich golden amber colour.
The nose is sherried, with light butterscotch and a hint of dried fruit. On the palate it is full-bodied, balancing sherried sweetness with malty and peaty tones. The finish is long, sweet and gently smoky.
