This is a 25 year old Highland single malt from Glenfarclas, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is a sherried whisky, with classic sherry notes running through it.
The nose has a touch of menthol alongside the sherry. The palate is clean at the centre and tangy, with zingy top notes, sherry and creamy barley, and hints of gingerbread and nutty chocolate.
The finish is very long and complex, rich in oak, with hints of smoke, cocoa and butter.
