This is a 25 year old single malt from Glenfarclas, the Speyside distillery at Ballindalloch, founded in 1836 and in the Grant family since 1865. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The whisky was matured entirely in sherry casks, and is described as showing the dried fruit, coffee and oak of the Glenfarclas house style.
The nose is orange marmalade, honey, coffee and nuttiness. The palate is full and ripe, with orange, rich sherry, oak and a fine touch of peat. The finish is long, with lasting smoky maltiness and fresh notes.
