Glenfarclas – 50 Years Old (50%)

Glenfarclas 50 Years Old is a single malt from the family-owned Glenfarclas distillery in Speyside, bottled at its natural cask strength of 50%. It was distilled in the 1960s and spent more than five decades in carefully chosen European sherry casks. It comes in a crystal decanter, inside a handmade box of solid wood. The nose offers antique oak, polished leather, dried figs, old sherry, beeswax and warm spices. The palate is silky yet structured, with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, prunes, cedar, espresso and a hint of incense. The finish is very long, complex and calm.
