Glenglassaugh – 1972 Rare Cask 44 Year Old Massandra Sherry Cask #1721 (70cl, 42.4%)

Glenglassaugh 1972 Rare Cask is a 44 year old Highland single malt, bottled from a single cask, number 1721, as part of Batch 3 of the distillery's rare cask series. Master Distiller Billy Walker hand selected it. The spirit was distilled on 25 October 1972 and bottled in November 2016 at 42.4% ABV, giving 479 bottles. After its long maturation it was finished in a Massandra sherry cask. It is bottled without chill filtration, and its colour comes entirely from the wood.
