Glenglassaugh 30 Year Old, with Billy Walker as master distiller, was the first expression released by the distillery's new owners. It is a Highland single malt matured for over 30 years in coastal warehouses, with sherry cask character alongside fruit and oak spice.
The colour is amber. The nose is rich and full, with peach, mango and banana, sultanas, sherry and gentle oak spice. On the palate it is sweet and soft, with mango, orange, figs and sultanas, then sherry, toffee and ginger oak spice.
The finish is warm, soft and gently spiced.
