Glenglassaugh 50 Year Old is a limited edition single malt in a 70cl bottle, drawn from a single Pedro Ximénez sherry cask. Just 264 bottles were filled.
Rachel Barrie, the master blender, selected the cask. Glenglassaugh is a coastal distillery, and she learned to surf as a child on the waves that break below it.
The flavour is described as deeply sweet, running from caramelised pear to soft exotic cherries, with almond, refined oak and tropical notes.
