Glenglassaugh – Evolution

Glenglassaugh Evolution is the second edition in the Evolution series, following Revival. It is a limited release from the Highland distillery, matured in barrels that previously held George Dickel Tennessee whiskey. The edition shows how the Glenglassaugh spirit interacts with ex-Tennessee whiskey casks. The nose is syrupy, with sweet barley, pineapple and soft buttery vanilla, then deeper oak spices and caramelised pear. The palate brings white peppery oak, crisp green apple and cracked barley, with gentle salted caramel, ripe banana and fruit salad syrup. The finish combines classic oak spices, soft fruits and vanilla pod.
