Glenglassaugh Peated Virgin Oak Wood Finish is a single malt that pairs a coastal, peated spirit with American virgin oak. The oak adds sweet, candied notes and fresh spice. It is bottled at 46%, with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
The nose opens sweet, with peat, oak spice, vanilla and dried coconut, then moves to clean smoke, sea breeze and honeyed peaches and apricots. On the palate, sweet and dry peat smoke is slightly ashy, alongside spicy oak, honey and a hint of coconut. The finish is medium in length, with peat smoke, honey, fruit and spicy oak.
