Glenglassaugh – Portsoy (49.1%)

Glenglassaugh Portsoy is a lightly peated Highland single malt from the Glenglassaugh distillery on Scotland's north-east coast, bottled at 49.1%. It is named after the old fishing town east of the distillery. The whisky was matured in bourbon, sherry and port casks and has a bright honey-amber colour. The nose has smoked marshmallow, seaside tar and fruit punch. The palate is soft and sticky, with tarry smoke, aniseed and dried raspberries. The finish is long, with charred fruit, dark chocolate and vanilla, and a hint of gunpowder.
