Glengoyne 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Dumgoyne, north of Glasgow, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The colour is natural, taken from hand-selected sherry casks, which also add richness. The barley is air-dried and no peat is used. A fermentation of over 50 hours and a slow distillation give a fruity, delicate spirit with enough weight for long maturation in ex-sherry casks. Flavours of lemon, toffee apple and a subtle note of coconut are described.
