This is Glengoyne 12 Year Old, a Highland single malt from a distillery known for slow distillation and for leaving out peat smoke. It matures in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon casks. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with no added colour, and is chill-filtered.
The nose offers ripe apple, citrus and honey, with vanilla, caramel and light sherry notes. The palate is soft, with pear, toffee, vanilla and gently spiced oak. The finish is medium to long and warm, with fruit, sherry and fine spice.
